Over the past few months, star players of the hit game Epic Seven have been battling to see who will be crowned.
The finals stage begins on August 21 and the finals begin on August 28. The $100,000 prize is up for grabs, with the winner taking home $50,000 and glory. The runner-up leaves with $20,000.
Smilegate Megaport, the company behind Epic Seven, must have gone to great lengths to make the Grand Finals a showcase event. In addition to hosting the finals, they also introduced a new broadcast system that leverages extended and augmented reality technology to enhance the viewer experience.
In addition to the E7WC finals, Smilegate Megaport made a number of announcements around the competition’s fourth anniversary. This includes revealing new update content for players to look forward to.
The video posted during the Grand Finals livestream specifically mentions three major updates – Moonlight Theater, Growing Grace, and Background Battles.
Moonlight Theater presents the origin stories of various seven epic Moonlight heroes. Each Moonlight Theater will focus on different heroes, and players who complete these stories will be rewarded with Mystery Medals.
Growing Grace will allow players to grow their heroes faster. Unlocking each of the four stages will accelerate this growth.
Background battles allow players to assign their pets recurring battles, such as hunting, adventure, and spirit change, as they leave and experience other parts of the game.
The finale of the Seven Epic World Championships appears to be going very well, with various player-generated video content and fan art being revealed.
“We sincerely thank Epic Seven players around the world for their continued support and interest in E7WC,” said Jae-Hoon Jung, Head of Smilegate Megaport.
Now that E7WC is over, fans will be eagerly anticipating all the new content.
